The Melbourne Convention Bureau has announced 25 percent growth in economic impact from secured business events over the last fiscal year, the strongest-ever financial contribution. Over the coming three years the Tampa Convention Center will roll out major upgrades, including new and renovated meeting spaces, as part of a $20 million investment. Ground has been broken on an expansion to Seattle’s Washington State Convention Center. The existing building will now be called “Arch”, and the new part opening in 2022 “Summit”. The Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville has reopened following its two-year, $207 million expansion. According to Louisville Tourism, the city’s convention and visitors bureau, 84 meeting groups have been booked since the project was announced.
