South Africa’s business events sector was in bullish voice at the congress of the Southern African Association for the Conference Industry in Johannesburg. Conference spending by the US federal government for fiscal year 2017 dropped by 15.7 percent, according to STR’s Market Insights team. That dip is the first decline since 2013.
