The announcement of Tourism Australia’s new AU$12 million business events bid fund has been unanimously welcomed across the country’s meetings industry. UK tourism minister Michael Ellis has confirmed his willingness to offer more support to the industry in a meeting with the Business Visits and Events Partnership. One in three UK event industry workers experience a mental health problem. The national average is one in four. The findings are from a survey for the industry campaign EventWell, which starts on September 18.
