South Korea has been named the top destination for international meetings, for the second year in a row, by the Union of International Associations. Darwin Convention Centre Celebrates Tenth Anniversary
The Darwin Convention Centre in Australia is celebrating its tenth anniversary. Over 680,000 people have attended events at the venue since the doors opened in 2008. 2017 UK Meetings Sector worth £18.1bn, Says UKCAMS
The UK saw an estimated £18.1 billion of direct expenditure generated by delegates in venues and wider destination spend in 2017, according to the new UK Conference and Meeting Survey. Oklahoma City Breaks Ground on New Convention Center
Oklahoma City has hosted a ceremonial groundbreaking for its new convention center. Scheduled to open in 2020, the $288 million Oklahoma City Convention Center will boast 200,000 square feet of exhibition space, a 30,000 square foot ballroom and 45,000 square feet of meeting space. Wisconsin Center Expansion Plans Presented
The Wisconsin Center District board of directors has shown expansion plans, analysis and conceptual renderings for Milwaukee’s Wisconsin Center. The plans add between 157,000 and 172,000 square feet to existing space. The cost of the project is estimated at between $247 million and $277 million.
