Paris is to host the 2024 Olympics and Los Angeles the 2028 games. LA’s Organising Committee will receive advance funds of $1.8 billion to foster participation and access to youth sports programmes in the run up to its later event. New figures on what the visible tip of the iceberg contributes to US GDP have been published by the Global Business Travel Association Foundation. In 2016 each percentage point of business travel spend represented 74,000 jobs, $3.3 billion in wages and $1.3 billion in taxes.
