13th IAS Conference on HIV Science, 13-17 July 2025, Kigali, Rwanda

The International AIDS Society has used it’s recent global conference on HIV science not only to present the latest scientific progress and research initiatives in combatting HIV, but to shine a spotlight on the impact of recent dramatic cuts to overseas aid programmes on rising HIV infections, the scale of stalled treatments, and the overall impact on fragile health systems in less developed countries, combining predictive modelling with real-world data drawn from across Africa and Latin America.

This conference media page contains links to key press releases and videos of press conferences covering the key issues that IAS wanted to communicate to policymakers and the general public, as well as the HIV/AIDS scientific community. IAS has been a long-time role model in healthcare and advocacy-related communication via the platform of its major conferences.
