Industry thought-leader Kai Hattendorf argues that the Business and Professional Events sector has thus far failed to present itself as a genuine industry, and has been only intermittently successful in communicating the full spectrum of its societal and economic impact, especially when compared with the sporting and cultural events sectors, and suggests a number of remedies as well as highlighting key issues that need to be resolved.
