Autism Europe Congress 2025: Championing Inclusive Event Design

The 14th Autism Europe Congress (AEC 2025) has been recognised for its societal impact, earning the 2025 Incredible Impacts Seed Grant Award from ICCA and BestCities. The Congress, held in Dublin in September, in partnership with AsIAm and Fáilte Ireland, focused on accessibility and meaningful inclusion for autistic people, with the programme and event design informed by neurodiverse needs. Beyond the event itself, the Congress also aimed to broaden advocacy for inclusive employment and public engagement.

Loren Christie, Managing Director of BestCities Global Alliance, commented: “This project embodies everything the Incredible Impacts Programme stands for. It’s bold, heartfelt, and visionary – driven by a genuine commitment to inclusion and advocacy that will ripple far beyond Dublin.”
