South Korea has been named the top destination for international meetings, for the second year in a row, by the Union of International Associations. The number of incentive attendees visiting South Korea in 2017, excluding those from China, increased by 25 percent. Business from South East Asia in particular is growing, with numbers up from Vietnam, the Philippines and Malaysia. Korea lead the world in global congresses through 2016, according to the new International Meetings Statistics Report released by the Union of International Associations. The country’s meetings in 2016 rose by 11.89% thanks to expanding infrastructure.
