And we’re adding a “JMIC Case Studies” section alongside “Research” to bring you the Joint Meetings Industry Council’s Case Study Program. These reports – to be published from 2017-19 by the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) – investigate the full spectrum of meetings legacies across trade and commerce, exports, knowledge transfer, professional and scientific development, healthcare and research. They provide academic rigour in communicating to governments and leaders of industry the true impacts of business and professional events. See the video below.
The first study – Conferences: Catalysts for Thriving Economies – covers Sydney itself and contains a mass of useful statistics also easily digestible in infographic form. 7% of respondents questioned – the report’s survey found – had applied to work or study in Sydney as a result of attending a conference there.
